Unsplash - Beautiful Free Photos

Squarespace (I will write a blog about them eventually) totally beat me to it, but I want to share with you all this awesome resource for artists and creative professionals around the world.

Over 550,000 free (do-whatever-you-want) high-resolution photos brought to you by the world’s most generous community of photographers.

That link above is exactly what makes Unsplash awesome. You can use these images completely free, for any use, whether commercial or noncommercial purposes. Perfect for your personal portfolio websites :)

I have been using Unsplash for work and personal projects for years now, and it is so awesome.

All you have to do is type a subject matter and scroll through the different photographers submissions, click and download. Super easy!

(Up above illustrates what came up when I searched cats :D )

You don’t HAVE to credit the photographer or worry about any of them coming after you with a lawsuit, but they do appreciate it if you give credit where credit is due…as we all should be doing!

A pop up window appears after you select your image (shown above) and you can copy and paste the credits wherever you may be using the image. Again, it isn’t required, but it is appreciated and gives the photographer more exposure, which is something we’re all after :)
