Envato Market
Hello, ladies and gentlemen! Introducing your one stop shop for all your image, auditory and motion assets! The Envato Market!
This site has so much to offer, so I will summarize what we think are the best ways to utilize this resource and also what to stay away from as an artist.
What to look for and how to Use it!
Again, there is a ton of things on this site so it’s easy to get lost looking through content on here. As an artist you probably want to live in the graphics section. Here you will find templates for basically anything. You can find we elements, icons, info graphics (if your into that sort of thing) Fonts, and even vector files available to download. (For some small fees)
How should you use it? That’s the million dollar question. As an artist, our creative pride will make it hard for you to download this content and make it your own, because that’s just plagiarism, right? I too think like this.
Which is why I scroll through here mostly for inspiration.
Depending on your project, you can search items by subject matter and scroll through hundreds of different designs who were created by some great artists. Often times, I will scroll through just to get an idea and to spark some creativity.
But don’t be ashamed to download anything. Just make sure you make it your own. Sometimes as a professional you just don’t have the time to make things from scratch and Envato is a great way to get a head start, with maybe a great background image, or a general icon to add to your own design. The possibilities are endless.
On top of graphics, they also have an audio library which is very extensive and of top notch quality. They have a whole section for 3D work and also video….So much more to type about that I’m cramping up just thinking about it.
Make sure you guys check the site out and figure out how you can use Envato to level up your creativity. Don’t forget to give our sketchbooks a look at our shop :)
Have a good one and see you on Wednesday! :)
